The world of 'technology'

I am seriously baffled by technology today! not in a bad way, just in a SHAMAZINNNGG OMG kinda way. My 3year old son is showing me how to play Candy Crush and he has the highest score in Temple Run. If I wasn't working for a bank, I don't think I would even need to go inside a bank - I can withdraw, transfer and deposit my checks with a simple touch on my phone. My husband bought me a keyboard for my iPad and it is basically a mini computer/laptop. People become friends online without even meeting in person. People find 'soulmates' and get married online. and my all-time favorite - SHOPPING online without getting stuck in check out lines. Heck, I can stay in my underwear all day and Google to my heart's content, have everything deliver to my door and not have to set foot outside my house. Like I said, SHAMAZING stuff!

I'm an Optimist

Image
As I sit here and reflect on the past 2 months of my life, I'm shaking my head and knocking on wood remembering the BOLD decisions we've made in a very short span of time. I'm sitting here telling myself 'dang woman you got some balls'. Yes! I'm telling myself this because I feel like I forced my other half into this whole new life we are living in a place away from our usual norm. I'm seeing it as living outside the box - or outside our normal box - out of bubble so to speak (you get the point). I'm remembering how optimistic I was telling my husband to get his feet out of the sand and put them in the water. My husband is someone who does not want to move from some place where he's comfortable. He doesn't like to get out of his comfort zone. I, on the other hand, loves getting out of my comfort zone maybe a bit too much - going with the flow and taking risks. When the opportunity came up to to move jobs and to move zip codes, I jumped at i...

RAINBOWWEEEEE afternoon

T-man #1 has been accepted into RAINBOW SCHOOL starting his first full day on August 1st. woooteeedeeedoooohooooo!!!! I felt like dancing up and down the hallways of the movie theaters. Before we moved to Kaneohe, we didn't talk about moving. It was kind of like a last minute 'ride or die' decision. We moved to Kaneohe the week we were supposed to leave for Samoa. So of course, everything was CRAZY...literally! I had to stop in at all schools in Kaneohe to drop off applications and talk to headmasters all in between moving and work. It was already late to apply for school but I did anyways because there was NO WAY IN HELL we were driving Tai back to his school in Laie everyday. Thank you lucky stars for always watching over me. Waitlists were crazy and Tai was at number 30 in all 5waitlists. aarrrgggghhhh. My prayers are answered and thank you Lord that Tai won't be staying home this schoo year...bhahahaha I'm happy! I'm grateful! I'm excited !...

Let's play 'catch up'

Ok! let's be real, my 'wannabe' faithful return to the blog scene last time didn't pan out because two months later, and I'm sitting here saying the same thing in my head. I know,  I might as well call it QUITS! hehehe Anyhow, I'm not making any more commitments - I suck at keeping them anyway, just like how I suck at keeping a faithful relationship with the darn GYM! So I'm back - for now :) and boy, A LOT has happened since my last blog post. A LOT as in -  Tai graduated from pre-school,  my 10 year MBA plan has finally eventuated and I am now reaping the benefits of being an MBA student (more debts to pay ;),  I have moved job locations but still with the same company,  the kids and I spent 2 weeks in Samoa,  and we have moved houses AGAIN!!!! .  WOW! THAT WAS TIRING but we are all LOVING it :) I must say though, moving to the city was a tough decision, BUT, like my mom always say " do what you gotta do, and the Lord wi...

Envision Laie

I was never one to get involved in the community 'stuff'. However, since I've been approached several times to become a part of this group (that I never really understood before), I decided to take the time to research, ask questions and really get the 411 on what 'Envision Laie' is all about. I'm not implying that I'm an ignorant prick with no sense of community (well maybe I seem like it) but only because I try to keep my distance and try to keep my business as that - my business! Anyhow, back to Envision Laie - all I been hearing are nay-sayers who are against this movement. 'Keep the Country, Country' is their motto. They didn't want pollution, invasion etc etc. I heard different stories from different people and everyone has their own version of what Envision Laie is trying to do. However, Now that I've done my research, asked my questions and got the 411 -  I understand the purpose for Envision Laie and I believe this is a FANTAST...

No brainner

This morning was nice. Hubby didn't have morning court and he was off last night. So he made breakfast, prepared the boy's lunches, took Tai to school and basically all the morning chores. I was happy doing nothing ...heheh I took Taui because his daycare is on the way to work so I can drop him off. I turned into the street that goes to Taui's daycare and saw a firetruck, an ambulance, the popos and the road was being blocked off. WTH? I sat there for a minute trying to faikala as I do. bhahaha Come to find out, there was a bomb threat on the district park right in the middle of the high school and the elementary school. Taui's daycare is close to the elementary school. Panicked as fug, I immeditely turned my car around, and drove back to drop off Master T with his dad. I called the daycare to let them know my son won't be coming today due to the bombthreat up the street. I spoke to the husband of the daycare motherhen. As soon as I hung up the phone, it rang ...

DUDE, you smashed my car!

It's my 4th day being a sick heffa - yes I'm that bored,  I'm counting the days that I spend in bed being useless. My family's been avoiding me. I've been locked away in my room - QUARANTINE in these 4 white walls with nothing but sunlight through my window (that I don't really open up because the sunlight gives me a headache. aue!).  I'm not allowed to come out unless to use the bathroom and  I'm not allowed to touch or be near my hunnies.  My husband brings me my food in my room wearing a mask and I only get a goodnight 'blow kiss' I miss my hugs and kisses from my babies This INFLUENZA shit SUCKS balls!!!!!!!! We got up this morning, I hear pitter patter feet of Tauilagi running up and down the hallway  calling me " mommy mommy, where you mommy ?"  I was so tempted to get up and open the door.  Then I hear Tautai calling out to his brother " Taui come here, mommy's sick, you don't wanna be ...
