Jill Brzezinski-Conley - Documentary

When I was growing up, I was told to "not be anyone but myself". And that's how I am, I mean, that's how I was until 2years ago, when I heard and met Sue Bryce (online) . Yes, I said it, I want to be like Sue Bryce when I grow up!! Anyways, this is not about Sue, this is about Jill Brzezinski-Conley, who I think is a beautiful inspiration to all us women. This documentary below was produced by SUE to document and tell Jill's story. I'll let it speak for itself. The Light That Shines from InBedWithSue.com on Vimeo .

TRYING!!!

Yes, as promised, I am trying my best to keep up with this here blog like I don't have a million and one things on my TO DO LIST! So tonight's post is about SCHOOL WHY DID I GO BACK TO SCHOOL AGAIN? Gosh, this stuff is so not doing it for me right now. It's Friday night (or Saturday morning I should say). Instead of doing something fun, I'm parked here finishing assignments, taking a quiz and taking a FINAL. Yes, I just finished all those and took me about 7hours top. I thought to myself, I spend 9-10hours at work, 5-6hours on the computer at home for school, and maybe 2-3 hours with my kids and about half an hour or 1 hour with my poor hubby. The other 3-4 hours I'm in bed or on the couch sleeping. School and work is taking over my life. And as much as I DO NOT like this routine, I realized that I actually DO NOT have a choice. I've spent too much time, effort and energy on school to quit now,  and I cannot quit/resign from work if we still want to liv...

Manti ma le teine taufaavalea

As the whole world turn this boy's misfortune into a laughing-stock, I sit in my corner and remember a good friend of mine who was also in the same situation about a year ago. Met online, carried on the online and phone sex for a year, then find out later, it was all a scam, some sicko was just having fun. Of course it was a big deal, and up-to-date, I still don't understand why and how people can continue on with a relationship without even seeing each other face to face? a year of cyberspace and phone calls without a face to face meeting?  That in itself calls for HELP!!!! Anyway, back to my friend; because she was not famous, people didn't care about it. But just because Manti is a famous athlete, people trash the story and turn it into a big deal. of course this only happens to famous people lol It saddens me because we know this kid. We attend the same ward/church, we know what he is like and have worked closely with him during his young men years when my hubby was...

Girls night/day out - a MUST!!!

Being far away from home can be very depressing at times. Especially when you don't really have many friends *coughcough*. SHOCK HORROR!!! I'm hearing that voice in my head saying "really kuaback? you don't have many friends? " I know I know, so hard to believe considering my social butterfly status..choohooo..NUPI! To be clear, I have many friends, but they're all HOME, I mean Samoa - HOME, or all over the place, just not here in Hawaii with me. Apart from my sisters and cousins in law, I only have 2 very good girlfriends here in the good ol' Laie boonies. don't roll your eyes, I really do have only 2 friends. It may seem lousy to some, but I don't mind at all. I love that I only have 2 friends here. I don't think I have the energy or room to keep up if I had more. haha 3 amigos @ Annie's wedding. July 2008 These two girls and I have been friends since our BYU days. I used to work with one and I used to live with one. If I wasn...

I CAN'T STAND YOU!!

Since moving here in 2004, one thing I cannot stand, are island boys who think they are big shots just because a couple of palagi girls are licking the floor they walk on. NO! I'm not talking about ALL island boys, NO, I'm talking about the butt ugly island boys who don't stand a chance with any island girl in their home country, but now that they're here and all the palagi girls flock to them, all of a sudden they think they're all that, so they walk around like they're George Clooney and Matthew McConaughey. I don't care that they are wannabes, but it gets to me when they make stupid ignore comments like "vaai la i lou faavaleaga o le kamaikai lea, leai a sesi e fia alu i ai ae kaumulimuli solo i le mea ou ke alu ai" aka "watch me screw this bitch to kingdom come". That means they never treat the girls like how they should be. They treat them like krap - and these girls, aaaarrrggghhh, they do anything for these losers no matter what...

Brand New Year

Image
Forgive me for being such a douche at updating this here poor blog. My apologies to myself and my faithful 3 readers. I will try to post once a month from now on - oh wait! make that twice a month. Who knows, maybe I'll even surprise myself and do 3 posts a month. But don't hold your breathe, I may be just talking sh*%. On the upside though - we got ourselves started on a brand spankin' new year. hoooray! New beginnings, new memories and a truckload of FUN. A LOT to look forward to :) I didn't set any resolutions for myself, well, because we all know I fail every year, so this year , I'm just going with the flow and see where the wind blows me. hehehe Anywho, I would love to stay and chat and go through what I ate, what I did and what I hated during the holidays (you know, for your amusement), BUT, I don't have the energy and time to go through all that nonsense so I'll just gap it here for now. I leave you with this dorky photo of my fabulousness ...
