I'm out of tricks

If there was ever a mother of the year award, guarantee I would NEVER in my lifetime , win it. My boys are probably the naughtiest children alive.  Every night, and I mean EVERY DAMN NIGHT, I fight with them to go to sleep. I know parents who send their children to bed at 8 or 9pm and they have no problem. My children, I send them to bed, and I hear them fighting  (mainly because the little one is bullying the older one) I send them to bed at 8:30pm - 8:40pm they're in the kitchen claiming to get some water. They come up with all different excuses just so they don't go to sleep. 10:30pm - the older one is finally out for the night 11pm is the little one's bed time For some odd reason, this boy will not sleep until the clock hits 11pm Taui's daycare mother hen is always reporting him  beating, biting & bullying other children at daycare. Tai's teachers reported this in his report card,  " Tautai is very bright, reads ...

Thanksgiving

Image
I'm not really sure why American's celebrate thanksgiving. (I'm not ignorant, i really don't know) I don't know what this holiday is about other than what people say  "it's time to give thanks and time to be grateful" But then again, aren't we supposed to give thanks and  be grateful for what we have everyday?  All the time?  I was taught to give thanks when I get up every morning and give thanks before I lay my head to rest every night - it just seems like people wait until November so they can  give thanks and post on social media 101 things they are grateful and thankful for.  In other news, Black FRIDAY is so last year.  People go crazy over Black Friday - those deals that only come once a year.  I've never been to a Black Friday and I don't intend to start tomorrow.  I'd rather enjoy my time at home and wait for everything to go on sale on CYBER MONDAY!  See, that's the good thing about this technolo...

My ass is like jello

Not in a good way! Yesterday was my first Saturday off from work in yonks. I had planned NOT to be at home or with the hubby and kids (yes I know, selfish mo'afuggerrr). I wanted to be out and about and never return home until the sun went down.  So I had this bright idea to go hiking. My palagi sister went with me.  I've heard from people that it's an "easy peasy do it in your sleep" kinda hike..... Well, fug you and you easy breezy hike - my ass is like wobbling jello and I can barely lift my feet/legs.  I admit though, the scenery was beautiful. The clouds, sky, mountains, the ocean and of course the beautiful bodies running up the darn hill as I was huffing and puffing like the unfit heffer that I am. The view from the top was breathtaking. And it's also the first time this kuabacker has seen an actual lighthouse in real life (not on tv) lol. Makapu'u Lighthouse trail - took us 40 minutes to get up (I'm sure it only took some people 30mins or less ...

Butt CHEEKS - CHECK!

So I had this crazy dream that I went and got a gym membership at the 24Hour fitness. Then I woke up, and realised that it wasn't a dream - it was for real! The 24Hour gym is HUGE - I can get lost in there and never find my way home kinda HUGE! On my first day, I was on the treadmill, not really working out, but spying on everyone else using all the fancy machines lined up in the gym. taking notes in my head - of how not to look like an idiot while using these machines. First week went by ok, though I was quite annoyed at those overly comfortable skinny show off biatches who walk in to work out in wearing only sports-bra and what I call an 'underwear'. Most of the time I'm like "Girrrrrrrrl, your ass is hanging out during those squats" Seriously, they might as well walk around naked in the gym. Not only girls, but guys too. Walking around in those tight sleeveless tank tops where I can see their muscular man boobs and abs lining the material of thei...

The middle will do FINE for me

I have been trying to find the words to describe my feelings about this same sex marriage issue without offending both sides. Then Delia posted about it and she eloquently explained everything I was feeling and believed in, in this post. Here's what she wrote on her blog  ------- A Place in the Middle Disclaimer: The views expressed here are solely those of this blogger and do not necessarily represent the views of my family, church, friends or dogs, for that matter-just plain ‘ole me!  There’s enough material out there in the universe for you to read up on regarding both sides of the same-sex marriage issue. If you were hoping for an in-depth theological, legal or social debate here, I’m sorry to disappoint. Over the last couple of weeks, our peaceful little island community has been rocked by one of the most controversial issues of our time. When Governor Abercrombie pushed for a special session in the state legislature to consider SB 1, a bill tha...

How do you do it?

Recently, I got interviewed by a grad student doing a study on ‘working mothers’. (I seriously didn't think this is a thesis topic but apparently- It is!) The last question was - HOW DO YOU DO IT? I have to say that she is not the first person to ask me this. I get asked this questions quite a lot by friends, colleagues even my own family. "How do you do it?" I thought about it for a while and frankly, everytime someone asks me this question, I never know how to reply, meaning, I have NO IDEA how I did or do it. HA! (si keige foi o I don’t know) Sure, I had a system (or some sort of system) where I schedule everything in my planner, BUT, let's be serious, I hate following schedules so I'm not sure why that was my first thought for a fix in the first place. Hahaha. It was definitely not that easy to follow a darn schedule especially with 2 toddlers in tow or when I'm lazy and didn't want to do ANYTHING. I guess that's why rich and busy pe...
