It's June 16th today, meaning I have ONE more WHOLE week with my babies before I go back to my fabulous and eventful life as a banker. Oh JOY :( bleh. 6weeks of maternity leave is not even near enough. I wish I was in Switzerland where they get 6months, or NZ where they get 3months (i think). BUT NO, 6lousy weeks is all the big US of A can afford to give it's laboring women. I have much to bitch about concerning the 6weeks maternity leave but eh, I don't want to waste my time and blog space because Obama sure ain't reading this. (or is he??? lol) Anyways, back to the grind in 1week and already I have a budget meeting I have to prepare for. arrggghhhhh. Checked my work email and my inbox is literally FULL. I may have to spend the first couple of days back going through my inbox, reading, replying and purging the unwanted. I just hope for the sake of my dead brain, there's nothing too complicated in there. Yeah, can you tell I'm looking forward t...

What would I do without my momma?

As a teen, I was NEVER close to my mother. I'm a daddy's girl through and through. Everything I wanted; I ran to daddy. Extra money for lunch-dad. Need to use the car-dad. Need to go shopping-dad. If I wanted to go out with my friends-dad. Always dad dad dad. Never MOM. - WHY? because she always says the one word that drives me through the wall- " NO " Needless to say, mom and I never saw eye to eye almost throughout my high school years. I used to call her the ' wicked witch from the west '. When dad was gone on his trips, I was always GROUNDED - faasa ga kafao, just get dropped off to school, get picked up, home-time: homework, chores, sleep and wake up to the same routine. With her, I was never allowed to ride the bus, because she didn't want me hanging around at the bus station with hundred other kids catching up, having fun and grabbing a kekepua'a or two from the makeki. She didn't like me having sleepovers with my friends. She basical...

darn landlord

If there's one thing I hate about renting houses, it's the fact that the damn landlords never check up on the house when you report that something needs to be done. We've been in this house for a year and 3months. I love this place. The rent is not so ridiculous, it's a standalone house, we have a yard to ourselves, a garage to ourselves, its a big enough space for our little family and we don't have to share with the hubby's siblings. No headaches from picking up after everyone else but yourself and your kids. When we looked at this house before we moved in, I fell in love at first sight but there were still some minor stuff that I needed the landlord to fix. At the time, he (landlord) said it will get done. Like, the screen wires for the living room that needs replacing. Like, a water catchement for the back entrance if he's not replacing the whole darn wall. Like, a smoke detector for the house. Especially now with all this crazy rain and cracklings fr...
