Visiting us today is the fabulous Lani Wendt Young; author of the book that had me started on a sleeping disorder, "TELESA:THE COVENANT KEEPER". I'm sure we've all read it, and if you haven't, now is your chance to buy and be absorbed into the world of Leila & Daniel (and Jason *winks*) Only $5.99 for the eBook on AMAZON . Lani's here for an interview that TEAM JASON's been waiting for. YES, an interview with the hot surfer boy/volcanologist himself while he's here checking out the Pipeline competition at Sunset BEACH and of course visiting one of his favorite fans *ahem* ------ We’ve been hearing a lot about Daniel and I thought it was time that we shine the spotlight on another very important person in Leila’s life…her (cough) friend Jason who is here in Hawaii visiting Jen’s Blog. Jason's too shy for a photo so here is his TWIN BROTHER Hi Jason, thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to join us here on Jen’s blog...

The weekend that was....

First on the news this fine evening, is the fact that the MANU got smashed by the Welsh this past weekend at their second game of the RWC. I'm sure every Samoan or any Manu Samoa die hard fan almost died of disappointment during and after the game. I know because I was on the edge of my bed, shouting and swearing at the TV and almost threw my iphone at the wall (silly keo). I wanted to reach over and fuki slam Tasesa for the way he played..arrggghhhh And on FB the next day, there were pple making silly pages like "Tasesa Lavea is solely responsible for Samoa's loss to Wales" and "Tasesa Lavea's gonna get a fasi from his mum" and "Dear Samoa: don't ever PICK Tasesa Lavea again please"  hhhmmmm, taking it a bit too far me thinks. So yes, he screwed up. I mean e fai aku le kick off ae gofo ma kick out. aueeee. BUT, that still doesn't give anyone the right to go make hater pages like the above. And yes, totally not my business but hey #...

House of ORDER!!!!!

I went to church on Sunday and wait for it...wait for it..I stayed the whole 3hours. (bonus brownie points for me) Since I stopped teaching primary to have my 2nd bebe, I only go for 1 hour of church on SUNDAYs or NOT go at ALL. I can't be bothered naming all my excuses or I won't have enough space for this blog; but to put it simply, I'm just..... LAZY. There!!!! very VERY LAZY; and with 2 boys in tow, I'm usually worn out before the 2nd song of sacrament meeting. My famous excuse i'm pretty sure everyone in my ward has memorized when the relief society president or anyone from the relief society says "aawww, we missed you in class last week Jenn" is always "Sorry, had to take my boys home, they were too rowdy in church" always blame the children when really, WE usually leave after sacrament because I want to put the boys to sleep so I can catch up on my beauty sleep or turn on the air con and watch the last episode of 24 (which may I add,...

the NERVE

If you've been a regular of my blahblahrings, then you must know about my encounter with Master T1's first babysitter. You know, the pesto 'faigaero' mamahen who I caught feeding all 7kids with one spoon scooped from one plate of food. WTF? So the said 'mamahen' is a frequent visitor to my place of work. And ever since I pulled my baby from her daycare, I've been trying very hard to avoid her in a 'nice' way (if that's even possible). You know she's landed at the bank when you hear a, "HI Jen, How's Tai?" coming from the back of the line. She made it a routine to come sit at my desk and make small talks before she leaves my office EVERY DAY she comes in. She'd ask me to bring Tai back and to call her if ever I felt overwhelmed being a new mommy and all. hhhmmm..Thank you but no THANK YOU. Did i mention that she feeds all her daycare kids with one spoon from the same plate of food during lunch and breakfast time? Yeah, e...

Master Tai is becoming more picky than anyone I've ever known.  Seriously! he's worst than ME.  Since when did 23month old toddlers get to be picky with  clothes, food, shoes, hairdo and everything else?  DRIVES. ME. BANANAS.!!!! ON Sunday, I picked out a nice green elei shirt and a iefaitaga for church. Tai decided that the BLUE aloha shirt and jeans is the better pick for him and demanded he wore that instead of what his mother laid out. I put GEL on his hair and did a mo-hawk and he got the hair brush, stood in front of the mirror and started combing his hair to the front e fai laga sope . I told him to wear his basketball shoes when we were heading out to play tennis BUT, homeboy wanted to go NIKE-hamo with either his jandals or NO shoes at all!! Last night, he spilled water on his shirt. I took it off and got him a short sleeve to change into. He was kicking and screaming because  I wouldn't let him wear the brown/white collared shirt hanging in ...

some depressing blahblahrings

It’s the end of yet another month, bringing us closer to the beginning of a new month (DUH), where we worry about the same things as the last month. It’s 3more months ‘til Christmas month, my birth month and the month where I go on a shopping spree and spend a ‘ ridonculous’ amount of money like I’m Bill Gates’ daughter or something. So as I sit in front of the computer to schedule all our monthly payments for the upcoming month, I remember the days when I didn’t have to worry about any of this crap. The days when I DID NOT have to WORRY about things like electric bill, water bill, credit card payments, rent, cable, phone bills, car payments and basically anything associated/related with the words bill or payment. No wonder why my mom would always remind me and my siblings “DON’T be in such a rush to grow up, it’s NOTHING fancy” Gosh, I should’ve listened to her. I’m looking at our budget to see if there’s enough for me to squeeze in a trip come DEC to the motherland. Hhhmmm..NOT...
