Ha! Never say Never

Since my last post, a lot has changed. Well maybe not that much but the way things have been in my own life lately, it is A LOT to take in, especially now, this exact moment and time in my life. When I had my last child, I said ' that was it, no more babies'.  Not because I didn't want anymore but because I had such a rough time with both my pregnancies. Rough as in, throwing up 5-6 times a day and a severe case of low iron. I was also always in the 1% of something with pregnant women - the worst was an unstoppable rash that made me literally sit in my neighbors pool everyday from 12-6pm everyday for the last 3 weeks of my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy, I was sick for a whooping total of 8 months. My second, I was sick for 7 months..then I pigged out until i gave birth. A while back we found out I was pregnant. Reaction - wasn't thrilled at all. First thought - File a lawsuit against my hospital and the damn IUD that's supposed to hold me over for ...

Reset Button

lately, its just been sad news after sad news.  I don't know how much longer I can handle this.  I keep trying to look for that light at the end of the tunnel - some days I see it, some days I don't and some days I force myself to see something.  Reset button....I need you

Miss you Papa

It's been a month since you quietly slipped away.  I heard your voice in the wind today I gathered myself in my corner office  And shed a tear or two for you I miss your warm smile Your tight hugs Your gentle hands I miss your annoying cough from your damaged lungs for smoking more than half your life. The sound of the whipping salulima to chase away the flies I carried on with life so sure that you'd be around for a long time You were the constant corner pole in our home when Nana passed.  Your smile, your laugh, your presence brought joy to all of us. Thank you Grandpa For the simple things For being by my side To help and support me through everything To celebrate my successes  For the hugs as you help me understand my problems and accept my defeats Thank you for teaching by example and for helping me see the value of hard work, integrity and good judgement It hurts I'm hurting Your spirit will live forever ...

Bingo so'o

When my parents upped and moved to the kuabacks in 2005, BINGO was and still is a very popular form of fundraising aka gambling hehehe. It’s not limited to churches but families hold BINGOs as well. When you see a lot of women (and men) gathering and bowing in a fale, they’re not praying, they’re playing Bingo. My father’s older sister retired from being a Primary School principal early last year and has taken up this very expensive hobby called BINGO. My mother, after 9 years of Lefaga-living decided to accompany my aunty one night on one of her BINGO trips and is now a convert from shopaholic to bingoholic. According to them “It’s a great stress-reliever” eerrrrrmmmmm…okay! When we returned from Samoa last month, we brought along my mom, who came for a break (2months) and the said Bingo Addict aunty, who also came for a break (1month) and it was her first time in the US of A. 2 days before we got on the Fijiairways back to Hawaii, my Aunty asked me if there were any BINGOs i...

It's been freezing here in the 808 lately. 64deg (i don't know how to do the deg sign, ha!)and I find myself running for my bed covers after work almost everyday. no masagi much? It's been reported that roads on Maunaloa were closed down because of a a snow storm! wth, last time I checked we were in Hawaii. 8 more days to go til we reunite with our TnT bebes. Boy, I 've been counting down the days, hours and minutes....literally. I've been looking at the calendar more times than I remember and I'm kind of going a bit insane. bhahahahaha...ua kau leaga le ulu. Yesterday, I pretty much scheduled everything we will be doing while home. Yes, everything down to what we have for dinner, lunch and breakfast. ha. As if...... The husband laughed when I showed him my  perfectly color coded schedule and the only comment the bastard could manage was "dang WOMAN" In other news, I've been camping on 'Madam Secretary'. Hot dang - I wanna b...

#SingleMomStatus

So it's been 5 weeks since I left my children in Samoa and became a single mom! Boy I was loving that first week of single mommyhood! No kids to run after woohooo! My house was clean and in order all the time,  laundry was 3 times less than usual,  I could actually sleep in and not have to worry about face slaps and breakfast demands  definitely enjoying the break from mopping the bathroom floor everyday to get rid of the 'sosogo' smell from hit and miss accidents! and am loving that I get the TV all to myself.  NO boys to hog the TV playing playstation! Ahhhhhhhh life was a bliss. By end of 2nd week, I was getting really bored and homesick! (yes, Home is where your kids are) I got updated on all my shows, have watched all the movies my heart desired BUT missing my hugs and kisses from my babies *sob sob* 3rd week, the hubby and I decided to go to Vegas for the USA Sevens and cheer on the Boys in Blue, who may I add, were playing horri...
