I went to zumba baybeeeeeeeeeee....

Image
YUP, you bet your sorry *bleep* (thank you SLEEPLESS for the reminder, I'm now censoring my blogs to help with my vulgarity issues) I did. After a year of my SIL " kauagau-ing " me to go to ZUMBA with her, I finally gave in and joined the fun, stinky, sweaty, hyper world of skinny *bleeps* rocking it in their tight fitted sexy workout clothes, to the sounds of  exciting salsa music, some cool techno (i hate techno) and the likes of Rhianna and the gang on the hiphop side. I had so much fun messing up and being the only uncoordinated vasti present in the dance studio..ahar..le kea ai peleka. IF i didn't know a move, guarantee I was making up my own and just going with the flow and dang am I good. ahem. (Beyonce ain't got nothing on this *cough cough*) Anyyyyyywayyyyyyyyys, It was such a great workout. The music was hoppin', the instructor was in her zone (she was darn good) and the zumba ladies were so into it. Lots of strong, great workout vibes f...

midnight blahblahrings

Sucky SUMMER It’s halfway through SUMMER and hardly feels like it with this rain gracing us with its presence almost every darn day. What's up with that? I guess I should be grateful. After all, SUMMER in Hawaii gets a bit too hot for my liking. But can it NOT be raining almost all the time? Can it just stay nice and breezy? Come on rain, give us a break. I see my nieces and nephews and feel sorry for them for every time they plan to go to the beach or waterpark or out and about, the rain decides to visit and they end up staying indoors glued to the playstation/wii and whatever else morbid gadgets the palagi designed to get the kids hooked and distracted from doing school work or good old playing outdoors. -- Inconsiderate tourists One of the houses in my neighborhood of 4houses – is a vacation home.  It’s always booked out hence the many different faces we see there every two weeks. They are usually good renters. You know-the typical tourists-doing touristy things;...

NOT every islander knows how to swim goddamit

Image
So here’s the thing. I, for the life of ME, CANNOT SWIM. (confession #1001) Yup, I DON’T know how to swim. I said it. Go ahead and laugh. I’m used to it. I don’t know why I’m actually blogging about this because 1st - it’s embrassing, 2nd – it’s embrassing and 3rd it’s blardy hell embarrassing!!!!! How does an island girl from kuaback NOT know how to swim? During college days, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who knew me and somehow found out I didn’t know how to swim, would firstly laugh themselves silly, then ask “But you’re from the islands, how can you NOT know how to swim?” then they laugh themselves silly AGAIN until they peed their pants. (ignorant shets) I just want to point out that, NOT everyone from the islands knows how to swim. Why do palagis always assume that just because you’re a coconut, you can swim, climb a coconut tree and act like a silly monkey ?? drives me nuts . We may be from the islands where there’s lots of beautiful beaches, but trust me, ...

It seems like everywhere I turn, people are trying to lose weight or into some kind of get fit program. gosh don't you people have lives? anyways....... One of my only 2 friends here in Hawaii suggested when I gave birth that we do a weight loss challenge between the 3 of us. I respectfully declined . hello, I’m breastfeeding for goodness sakes. My sister & cousins in the law are doing a weight loss challenge among themselves and invited me to join. I respectfully declined . I don’t have time to workout, I have a very demanding pule kaoiseumulealelo who keeps me working up til night time. My branch is having weight loss challenge. Winner gets a free tour & a whole day of eating healthy at Matsuda Farms. I respectfully declined . After work, I have an active toddler to run after and a baby to tend to. My workplace started a BIGGEST WINNER Weight Loss challenge this past Friday. Competition goes for 12weeks. You can enter as an individual and/or in teams of 2. Ind...

recycled cardboards

I supply this one shop in Utah with samoan puletasis, materials, earrings and anything samoan the shop needs. Because of the above, I'm always making countless trips to the post office and always buying cardboards to ship the items off. lately, I realised that I was spending a hefty amount of $$$ on blardy cardboards that will only be thrown away once reached destination. So, last week monday, I rocked on up the stockers at Foodland and asked if they could please spare the boxes/cardboards for me when they're done stocking the shelves. Some of these boxes are in 'good condition' and some .... hhmmm..they're really ' padaken ' to say the least. Last week, foodland only had 'so so' boxes. shucks. I was still a stingy bitch with wasting money on cardboard/boxes.... hhhmmm..what to do what to do..???? I armed myself with tape and got to work with taping all the masaesae on the boxes, filled them with pules, taped 'em up, and wrote a note o...

gotta love the homeless

one woman walks in-looks like she's having a bad day she walks up to the teller and asks for change-$500 in $1bills $500 in .25 and 100 in .10 Naturally, we have to get this kind of change from the vault. The teller was waiting for the another teller to be available so they can make a run to the vault. The woman looked irritated that she had to wait I was with a very important client Our favorite homeless customer comes in and takes a seat at our manager's desk so he could fill out his deposit form irritated woman walks over to my desk and interrupted my one on one with my client "excuse me, i don't mean to be rude or anything but what the heck is taking forever? do i have to call in before hand to get my change ready?" "the girls are getting your change right now ma'am and they'll be right out with you " i tried not to look irritated my client however was getting annoyed " why are those girls giving me that look like. .....

It's June 16th today, meaning I have ONE more WHOLE week with my babies before I go back to my fabulous and eventful life as a banker. Oh JOY :( bleh. 6weeks of maternity leave is not even near enough. I wish I was in Switzerland where they get 6months, or NZ where they get 3months (i think). BUT NO, 6lousy weeks is all the big US of A can afford to give it's laboring women. I have much to bitch about concerning the 6weeks maternity leave but eh, I don't want to waste my time and blog space because Obama sure ain't reading this. (or is he??? lol) Anyways, back to the grind in 1week and already I have a budget meeting I have to prepare for. arrggghhhhh. Checked my work email and my inbox is literally FULL. I may have to spend the first couple of days back going through my inbox, reading, replying and purging the unwanted. I just hope for the sake of my dead brain, there's nothing too complicated in there. Yeah, can you tell I'm looking forward t...
