Ever wondered why there's a bunch of men with mistresses? Or ever wondered why many women are mistresses aka home wreckers?

Every time I go back home I see this almost everywhere. It's sad because it's become a 'norm' - a part of everyday life. I feel like an outsider in a strange (or I should say WEIRD) place. The saddest thing about it is, EVERYONE knows about it - I mean come on, Samoa is a small place - everyone knows everyone's business. Call me ignorant or arrogant or whatever you like - but the fact remains  that this happens and has been happening.

I just want to know. WHY????????

I haven't been back to Samoa in years but I have heard from a lot of people who go back regularly about this rather disturbing trend. I have no idea but wonder if it has anything to do with survival if one party benefits economically from the arrangement. Sad that it is happening though.

I thought it might be something like that, but then even the ones who don't need the economical benefits are sadly on the same path. Ia kailo se, kagaka pei ua leaga ea ulu...hehehe

WOW...life must've been really interesting the last 2 years - - So as I try to figure out my life for 2020, let's recount from where we left off in 2017, shall we? hhhmmmmm 2018, let's see. I resigned from the bank because I needed a break. 2 weeks later I started a job at the State Capitol. (What can I say - Never say DIE! lol) I was excited for the opportunity to make a difference and affect change in our local communities. Needless to say, it wasn't what I expected it to be and like anything in government, it was all a bunch of hot air and no action. Action-less promises! The system is severely  BROKEN, the Capitol NEEDs Young Blood, we need educated politicians who actually walk the talk, and OMG the procedures and processes are still stuck in the 90's - and we wonder why nothing gets done in government. Pinterest is my new best friend. Oka! so many nice ideas and random things. I'm usually on there to stalk home decor because I'm a neat freak and a wannabe Martha Stuart like that. Right now, I'm looking for ways to stack children's toys nicely so it doesn't take up much room.
