Orchid Murderer!
When I moved to my new location - one of my clients stopped by to visit with a beautiful purple & white orchid plant for my office.
I absolutely loved it - mostly because for the first time in my 7years with ASB, someone's gifted me something 'other' than FOOD!! So the orchid 'was' pretty sentimental to me. Notice how I said 'was'?
So the story goes -
Once upon a time, there was an absolutely gorgeous princess who lived in a far away land. She grew the most beautiful orchid with special powers in all the land - powers to turn one's ugly day into sunshine and rainbows just by looking at it! The princess loves looking at this orchid and waters it every other day.
There was an evil Witch who wanted the orchid for herself but was sealed away by a powerful spell.
The evil Witch was so jealous that she couldn't have the orchid for herself so she posed as a professional gardener and offered up her unwanted gardening advise to the princess - "Orchids are very temperamental - don't water it too much or it will drown and die. If you want it to flourish, only water it once every two weeks. You'll be amazed at how pretty they stay. You'll see :)"
As all princesses stories go, this princess listened to the gardener aka witch and stopped watering her orchid plant every other day.
2 weeks later - the orchid plant was dead!
