10/30: pet peeves

[ what are your top 10 pet peeves?] 


1- THE TOILET SEAT - I hate having to put the toilet seat down after my hubby and son use the bathroom-ANNOYING

2- bits of toothpaste in the bathroom sink - please clean and wipe the sink clean when you're done using it

3- That damn neighbor who looks for her dog at 2am around our house waking up my sleeping child.

4- laundry lying everywhere BUT the laundry basket - hello, that's why we have a laundry basket in each room- sheesh

5- people who assume they know everything about YOU, when they haven't said a single word TO YOU 

6- idiots who think they're better than everyone else - please get down from your high horse

7- incompetent co-workers

8- not using common sense on the simplest things

9- that Samoan attitude of give give and giving everything you got when you're knee deep in loans and living pay check to pay check - all in the name of love, God and family.

10- someone feeds my children food without checking with me first - yes, I'm anal about what goes into the digestive systems of my offsprings. So the next time you decide to give a 1yr old starburst too sticky for him to chew, make sure you check with me first or else, I will slap you silly infront of the whole congregation. AMENE

I’ve been debating this issue for a while now (ever since Coconut Girl blogged about affairs on the seawall and under the coconut tree) There’s this one girl I went to College with. WE aren’t best friends or even good friends. We just know each other and would usually make small talk when we meet at the isles in Foodland doing our Sunday shopping. I know her husband though. Quite WELL!!  And what a sleazy piece of *bleep* he is. Outrageous 'saogamea'

Am I the only one who thinks it's blardy absurd to donate/give/contribute to a 'faalavelave' for a very distant relative? ie: great grandmother's sister's son's daughter's son's wife's dad's passing away? COME ON, have you even met them before? This is one thing that irks me about the 'faasamoa', the need to give and GIVE even while we struggle to make ends meet or have absolutely NOTHING to give. Is this the faasamoa or is it just my family being 'fiakagaka/fiakele'? Whatever the case, I'm sick of it. I called home tonight to talk story with my parents, ONLY, they weren't home because they were off dropping off the 'fesoasoani' i le maliu a le aiga o Pai.
