the ways of the kuabacks

This is for one kuaback in particular, my son, the ever so smart, funny, kaukalaso'o being that is Tautai.

For the past 2 weeks, he's been living it up in the kuabacks with his grandparents feeding the pigs, the chickens, picking up the rubbish and helping Nana with her garden.

Papa and the boys have been busy making furniture for my bro who will be entering the gates of Malua Theological College in two days.

When the kamuka finished the bed, Tai jumped on and declared the thing 'his truck' and would make zooming noises when he's on it pretending to drive the thing to pick me up from work.
the 'pusa' was done and he declared that 'his bus'
the dressing table was 'his taxi'
and the study table was 'his bulldozer'

Before he goes to bed, he'll do an inspection of his 'new' toys, says goodbye to each one and then blesses them in his bedtime prayer.

Yesterday after church, he pretended something was wrong with his truck and jumped off to fix it.
"uh oh, someone broke my truck mommy, i go fic (fix) it"
He grabbed a stick and started whacking away at the bed a.k.a truck, scratching the brand new bed in the process.

He reminds me of me when I was little and playing with tree branches, shoes and cut up newspapers pretending to be a storekeeper...bhahahaha...no toys so we make do with what's laying around.

Late afternoon, Tai followed Papa to the pig sty to see the pigs
5minutes later, he ran back crying and screaming "The silly boy killed Puka mommy"
There's a faalavelave today and Puka is for the saogamea

Welcome to the kuabacks baby child :)
