This morning, I found out that one of my fav. clients had passed away: Mr Toelau Nautu.
Mr. Nautu was one of those senior citizens who never complained about anything. He gets charged a fee on his acct, he gladly pays for it.
If his statements come in late, he just smiles and blames the mail man.
If he needs any help with balancing his many checkbooks, he always asks "Can you please help me?"
He used to keep records of all transactions from $0.01cent to hundreds of dollars in his little book.
He was NEVER late on a payment.
He was 83years old and still a hardworking custodian at BYU-H
He kept this folder where he kept/organized receipts/records.
He was a cute old man with his reading glasses hanging from his neck, who takes about 5minutes to fill out a deposit/withdrawal slip. And he's one to fill out all the blanks on the slips.
He used to ask the Tellers for FREE MONEY after he's done with his transactions.
He used to come in at 5:30pm every Wednesday nights to send $500 dollar wires to the National Bank of Samoa. This was such a common trans for him, almost our whole team memorize the wire transfer for him.
His nick name was Granpa to the commmunity
His hair was white as snow and always gives a heartbreaker grin. :)
He always says "Fa Suga" to me when he leaves the Bank.
I will miss you Mr. Nautu.
YOur contagious smile will be missed by our team.
And we will definitely miss your sense of humour and your many many jokes..
